Sad Dan

The Origin

During a game of Jackbox with friends on stream, the character "Sad Dan" was created by ComfyCrow.

We all instantly fell in love. A man so sad, he can't even put on his shoes without crying is a powerful image. One that I knew could not go to waste. Note the Purple shoes he was originally drawn with, which has followed him as a signature colour to this day.

The Emote

This jackbox game happened around the time I received twitch affiliate. Knowing my emotes would soon be unlocked, I came up with multiple ideas for what could represent me.

Many ideas were scrapped, and some of the ideas would be used later. But the three that began the trend of the best emotes on Twitch were:

The "Ban Hammer", "Take the L", and our beautiful boy "Sad Dan".

The Legacy

Sad Dan has become a staple of my streams, Anytime I use a mii, or have to create a character, rather than use one that looks like me, we create Sad Dan once again.

The current defining features of him are purple clothes, stars/tears in his bright blue eyes, and messy brown hair.
